Akhilesh Yadav condemns shoe attack on CJI Gavai as attack on Judiciary and the vulnerable

Lucknow, October 6: Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav strongly condemned the recent shoe attack on Chief Justice of India, B R Gavai, calling it an assault on the highest judicial authority and the most vulnerable members of society by the arrogant.

In a disturbing security lapse, a 71-year-old lawyer allegedly attempted to throw a shoe at CJI Gavai during a session in the Supreme Court on Monday. This incident led to the immediate suspension of the lawyer’s license by the Bar Council of India.

In his detailed post on X (formerly Twitter) in Hindi, Yadav remarked, "Even a shoe feels insulted when it falls into the hands of certain individuals." His statement underscores the gravity of the attack, highlighting both the disrespect for the judiciary and the disdain for those seen as weaker by those in positions of power.
