Ahmedabad, June 18: A week after the Ahmedabad Air India plane crash, which killed 270 people, the sole survivor Vishwas Kumar Ramesh was discharged from the city's Civil Hospital on Tuesday.
After medical & psychological breakthrough, Vishwas, shortly after his discharge, was managed to send him to his native place in Diu. Meanwhile, the body of his brother, Ajay, who was one of the deceased 241 ill-fated passengers in the same plane, was handed over to the family for his last rites. After DNA matching,the body remnants of Ajay was dispatched to his village.
Vishwas Kumar Ramesh, who was the only survivor to get rid of the Air India plane crash, broke down to see his younger brother’s bdoy who was charred to death in the crashed plane before his eyes. However, he attended the cremation of his deceased brother Ajay, who was flying with him on the same aircraft, with a broken heart.
Vishwas(40) is the only passenger who flew off the danger as an Agneevir at a time while as many as 240 co-passengers with 12 crew & Cabin members were being charred in the engulfing flames.
On being informed, Vishwas's family arrived from the UK to attend him in the Civil Hospital.
Worth mentioning, Both Vishwas and his brother Ajay are basically natives of Diu. They and recently had flown down to India to spend time with their family living in the union territory. Howver, one of them charred to death while the elder one luckily survived from the threshold of death.
