Mumbai, August 10: Advance bookings have officially opened for the much-anticipated action film War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. The announcement was made by the filmmakers on Sunday, accompanied by a brand-new pre-release promo that has already stirred excitement among fans.
The newly released footage offers a gripping glimpse of the film’s central conflict, showcasing Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir and Jr NTR’s Vikram in high-octane action sequences. Their intense face-off hints at a powerful rivalry that drives the narrative.
“Are you ready to witness the CARNAGE in cinemas from August 14th? BOOK TICKETS NOW for #War2 and let us give you an experience to cherish for the rest of your lives. Releasing in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil in theatres worldwide! #YRFSpyUniverse,” the makers announced via Instagram.
Previously, Yash Raj Films teased audiences with a sneak peek of the song Janaab-e-Aali, which features a dance face-off between the two leads.
“The dance WAR you've been waiting for is almost here. Here's the tease... #JanaabeAali full song in theatres only! #War2 releasing in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil in cinemas worldwide on 14th August,” they wrote.
Another track from the film, the romantic number Aavan Jaavan, has already been released and is receiving a warm response from fans.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 marks Hrithik Roshan’s return as Major Kabir, now facing a formidable new adversary in Jr NTR’s Vikram. Kiara Advani joins the cast as a soldier and Kabir’s love interest.
The official trailer is now out, building anticipation for the film’s global theatrical release on August 14, 2025, just ahead of India’s Independence Day.
