Hyderabad, September 3: A day after being suspended from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), senior leader K. Kavitha on Wednesday announced her resignation from both the party and her post as Member of the Legislative Council (MLC).

Kavitha, daughter of BRS founder and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), alleged that there was “pressure” on her father to take disciplinary action against her.

In a sharp attack, she accused her cousin and former minister T. Harish Rao of conspiring against KCR’s family, blaming him for her ouster.
