Sambalpur, Sept 3: In a gruesome incident, a youth was allegedly stabbed to death over past enmity in Dhanupali area of Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Md Rinku and the incident took place at Orampada village under Dhanupali police limits in the district.
As per reports, miscreants attacked Rinku with sharp-edged weapons at around 8 am today morning following which he was rushed to Sambalpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). Unfortunately, attending doctors declared him brought dead.
Rinku's father was at work when he was informed about the attack. His younger son quickly went to the scene and took Rinku to the hospital.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the scene and seized the body for post-mortem.
A case has been registered and further investigation into the matter is underway, said the police.
