Bhubaneswar, June 8: While Covid-19 cases are on the rise across the nation, four more cases were detected in Odisha on Sunday, informed Public Health Director Dr Nilakantha Mishra.
With the fresh confirmed cases, the tally goes to 49, the health official revealed.
As per reports, 49 were tested positive for Covid-19 as on Sunday of which 15 patients recovered. However, there are 34 active Covid-19 cases across the state so far.
The state healthcare authorities have reiterated their commitment to containing the spread of the virus. However, with the surge, the Health Department has urged people to stay alert.
Dr Nilakantha Mishra has urged citizens to follow basic Covid-10 appropriate behaviour including using masks usage, following hand hygiene, and avoiding crowded spaces, as far as possible.
