Cuttack, Oct 4: In a heartbreaking incident, a 16-year-old student has gone missing after reportedly drowning while bathing in the Kathajodi River in Cuttack, on Friday. The incident occurred in the Balighat area, Sector 6 of CDA.

The missing student has been identified as Sriyansu Das, a Class X student of DAV Public School, CDA-6. He was the son of Santosh Kumar Das, a resident of Madhuban in Kendrapada district.

According to local reports, Sriyansu was taking a bath in the Kathajodi River when he suddenly went under the water and failed to resurface. After receiving information from locals, personnel from the Bidanasi Fire Station quickly arrived at the scene and began search operations.

As of the latest updates, the search efforts are still ongoing to locate the missing teenager.
