Hyderabad, December 6: Two youth from Ganjam, Odisha, were arrested on December 5 for transporting 6.863 kg of ganja from Berhampur to Mumbai. The arrest occurred at Secunderabad Railway Station during a joint operation by the GRP, RPF, and Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau.

The accused, Muna Prusty (20) and Tikash Kumar Barik (23), were found with the drugs in a trolley suitcase during routine checks. The duo was arrested on the Konark Express while en route to Mumbai.

Three other suspects—Ashish from Berhampur, and Jayesh and Shubam from Mumbai—are still at large. The investigation revealed that Prusty had been approached in Mumbai to sell marijuana, and he contacted Ashish in Berhampur to procure the drugs. After inflating the price, Prusty collected ₹30,000 in advance and arranged for Barik to join him in transporting the contraband.

Further investigations are ongoing.
