Koraput, Mar 29: In a tragic incident, a man lost his life after he came in contact with the live electric wire he had set up to catch fish.
The incident occurred at Chintaguda village under Narayanapatna area in Odisha’s Koraput district early this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Kayama Kendruka (22).
Kayama and a group of fellow villagers went fishing in the nearby Jhanjabati River yesterday evening. They had placed an electric wire in a section of the river to prevent others from fishing there. Unfortunately, Kayama came in contact to the electric wire and died on spot. However, two other individuals were fortunately rescued.
Being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation into the incident. This tragic incident has sparked conversations and concern throughout the area.
