New Delhi, October 12: Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi addressed the media once again on Sunday, following a controversy surrounding the absence of women journalists at his previous briefing two days ago. During this second press conference in just three days, he clarified that there was no deliberate intention behind the exclusion of women journalists.
The initial briefing on Friday had drawn sharp criticism from India's opposition parties and media circles, who condemned the omission of female press members. In response, Muttaqi sought to defuse the situation during Sunday's meeting, where several women journalists were in attendance.
