Angul, April 21: In a bitter consequence of family feud, a woman in Angul was stabbed by her husband at an automobile showroom on Tuesday.

The incident took place near the PTC Square in the town in the morning.

The victim has been identified as Tulasi Behera whreas her rade-face spouse is Litu Behera.

According to report, the couple was residing in Panchamahala area after their marriage. However, Tulasi was staying apart from Litu a while ago following a marital discord between them. Meanwhile, Litu reached at Tulasi’s workplace today where a heated argument broke between them. Aggrieved over it, Litu stabbed her with a knife on her abdomen and face. As a result, she sustained critical injuries. Onlookers rushed her to the DHH, Angul for resuscitation. Subsequently, she was shifted to SCB Cuttack as her health condition deteriorated, according to the doctors.

On being informed, Angul Town Police reached the spot and apprehended the accused.

A case has been registered in this connection while further investigation is underway, said the IO.
