Berhampur, Jan 14: A bus owner from Berhampur has raised a complaint after receiving an e-challan from the Agra RTO in Uttar Pradesh, imposing a fine of ₹75,520 on his vehicle. The owner claims that his bus, bearing registration number OD05N0770, is parked near Lanjipalli and has not been in operation for the past month.

According to the owner, the photo uploaded during the issuance of the challan does not match his bus. He alleges that another vehicle is operating under the same registration number, leading to a major registration conflict.

The fine appears to have been issued because the vehicle reportedly traveled out of state without a valid permit. The Agra RTO sent the e-challan message on the 12th at 4:17 PM.

The bus owner has approached the Bhanpur police station and lodged a formal complaint with the Ganjam transport authorities, seeking clarification and action regarding the mix-up.

Authorities are reportedly investigating the matter to verify the ownership and correct the apparent registration duplication.
