Nilagiri, Feb 13: A fascinating video of deadly encounter between a mongoose and a king cobra in Odisha forest is worth to watch. The hair-raising video features how a mongoose defeated a huge king cobra injuring it grievously. It gives a sneak-peek into nature and depicts the how small creatures survival in the wild. The fight was recorded in the forest adjoining to famous Panchalingeswar Temple in Nilagiri area of Balasore district. The king cobra was trying to climb onto a tree in a bid to rescue itself from the mongoose, but in-vain. The mongoose was pulling it biting its tail. Local tourist guide Manoranjan Das reached the spot being informed about the incident and rescued the king cobra. Later, it was provided medical treatment at Nilagiri Veterinary Hospital.
