Bhubaneswar, Oct 19: Ace devotional singer Archana Pattnaik on Wednesday dedicated an Odia devotional song titled ‘ Jaya Durge-Durgati Nasini’ for the sake of Maa Durga during this Navratri.
The song, released in an MP4 format for the first time, hit the puja alters here, while it was performed as a tech- trial before the presiding Deity Maa Gada Chandi in Angul. It is going to mark this year Dussehra with magnificent light and sound shows, displaying the righteous MP4 on the Puja altars during the 4-day-long Durga Puja
The ' Jaya Durge-Durgati Nasini’ devotional song dedicated to Goddess Durga has been presented in the famous ‘Raag Darshan’ where in Pattnaik has offered her musical, lyrical, and visual tribute to the deity.
The Odia Bhajan, written by Chinmayee Mohanty and musically assisted by popular music director Omprakash Mohanty comprises the traditional essence of vocal alapa sonneted by different incarnations of Goddess Durga. It also encompasses the spiritual favours of legendary Shree Durga Suktam, and Shree Durga Astakam with a meaningful blending of Shree Gouri Astakam in a nutshell.
Archana Pattnaik, who is a poetess, social worker, standalone humorous poetess, YouTuber, Legal activist, and vocalist, has been contributing to society with her valuable literature, volunteerism, and mild criticism of faulty politicians.
Having been inspired by her mother who used to chant the phenomenal song sung by Vinoba Bhabe, during his Bhoodan Movement March, Archana took devotional songs, enlightened patriotic songs, verses, and spiritual chants as a part and parcel of her life.
Among other entertainment fronts, Pattnayak’s YouTube Channel ‘Murchhana Music’ has been enthralling tens of thousands of visitors with its mesmerizing bhajans and legendary folklores so far.
While interacting with cultural critics Pattnaik said, “Being a woman leader, I am keen to bring about a social change through my songs, literature, social reforms, and community development.”
Nothing other than spiritualism can guide contemporary society both morally and ethically, she added, while she was performing on the Puja Mandapas in tune with the Prayer on Maa Durga with watered-down eyes.
