Baripada, Nov 2: Four youths were arrested in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Saturday in connection with abduction of a potential rice miller.
The bizman, identified as Sunil Agrawal was released by the abductors after getting ransom worth Rs 40 lakh.
As per reports, the victim, Sunil Agrawal, a resident of the Station Bazar area in Baripada town, owns Kamdhenu Rice Mill in the Baishinga area. He was abducted at gunpoint on October 23 by a gang of abductors near Padmanabhpur on National Highway No. 18 for a ransom of Rs 80 lakh.
Sunil subsequently lodged a complaint with Baishinga Police Station.
Acting on the complaint, Mayurbhanj police formed a special team and apprehended four kidnappers from Balasore.
A car, a sum of Rs 8 lakh,firearms and a bike were seized from their possession.
