Jeypore, June 19: Odisha Vigilance has unearthed extensive immovable assets allegedly linked to Sri Satyanarayan Sethy, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Kotpad Block in Koraput district, during simultaneous searches conducted on allegations of possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
During the searches, Vigilance officials detected as many as 32 landed properties spread across Jeypore, Boriguma, Kotpad and Potangi tahasils of Koraput district.
The properties include large tracts of land located at Taragaon, Dhudasapala, Kundraguda, Kasaguda, Bijapur, Dengapadar, Sanapindapadar and Dalaguda under Boriguma Tahasil. Several other plots were found at Hardoli, Deuda and Potnar under Kotpad Tahasil.
Further, landed properties were detected at Hardaput, Jagadhatripur, Makaput and Umuri under Jeypore Tahasil, besides plots at Manabar under Koraput Tahasil and Koki under Potangi Tahasil.
According to Vigilance sources, the total land holdings include agricultural, homestead and other valuable plots situated across multiple locations in Koraput district. Verification and valuation of the properties are underway to ascertain their current market value and whether they are proportionate to the officer’s known sources of income.
Sri Sethy joined government service as a Junior Engineer in January 1998 with an initial salary of Rs 7,100 and was promoted to the rank of Assistant Executive Engineer in September 2025. The Vigilance investigation is continuing.
