Bhubaneswar, April 8: The Vigilance Department on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at the residence and office of an Additional Executive Engineer of the Irrigation Department over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The officer, identified as Rajesh Mohanty, came under the scanner following complaints of accumulating wealth beyond his official earnings. Acting on the allegations, a vigilance team comprising 7 to 8 officials carried out a surprise search at his residence in Bhubaneswar as well as at his government office.
