Jeypore, June 19: The Odisha Vigilance on Friday launched simultaneous raids at multiple locations linked to Satya Narayan Sethi, Assistant Executive Engineer of Kotpad Block, over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
A special Vigilance team comprising seven DSPs, nine Inspectors, eleven Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other supporting staff is carrying out the operation.
The searches are being conducted simultaneously at seven locations across Koraput, Jeypore, Khordha, and Kendrapara districts. The properties under scrutiny include Sethi’s office in Koraput, his government quarters in Jeypore, a rented house at Parabeda in Jeypore, two farmhouses at Borigumma in Koraput district, a flat at Madhipur in Jatni of Khordha district, and his ancestral house at Chandol in Kendrapara district.
The raids are part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of accumulation of wealth beyond known sources of income. Further details regarding the assets unearthed during the searches are awaited.
