Vance lauded the efforts of President Biden’s team and credited Rubio for his role in facilitating talks. Rubio revealed that over the past 48 hours, he and Vance engaged with key Indian and Pakistani leaders, leading to a halt in all military actions and the decision to hold broader peace talks.
Prime Ministers Modi and Sharif were praised for their leadership, while External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar confirmed India's firm stance against terrorism and the agreement to cease hostilities.
Former President Donald Trump also claimed credit, citing US mediation in securing the deal. Pakistan’s Deputy PM Ishaq Dar confirmed the ceasefire, reiterating the country's commitment to peace.
