Lucknow, April 14: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday declared that the upcoming 'Zero Poverty' mission in the state will bear the name of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. The initiative, slated for launch later this month, is aimed at uplifting every underprivileged and deprived individual above the poverty line.

CM Adityanath emphasized that the mission will work to ensure that no underprivileged citizen is deprived of basic necessities and the benefits of government welfare schemes.

The announcement came during an event organized by the Ambedkar Mahasabha to commemorate the birth anniversary of the iconic jurist and social reformer. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also unveiled a commemorative souvenir, as noted in an official statement from the Uttar Pradesh government.
