Subarnapur, Jan 29: At least two persons were killed after their bike rammed into an electric pole in Birmaharajpur area of Odisha’s Subarnapur district late last night.
The deceased have been identified as Sambit Pradhan and Sipak Nag.
As per reports, the mishap took place near Uphula under Birmaharajpur police limits when the duo was returning home on a bike. The bike went out of control and rammed into a roadside electric pole. As a result, the riders sustained critical injuries. Thereafter, some passersby people alerted the police. On getting the information, police arrived at the spot and rushed the victims to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared them dead.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
