
Bhubaneswar, July 30: Two senior IPS officers from the Odisha cadre have been empanelled for central deputation at the Director General (DG) or equivalent rank.
The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of two IPS officers of 1993 and 1994 batches from the State for appointment with the Central Government in the rank of DG or equivalent position.
According to the notification, RP Koche, a 1993-batch IPS officer and present Director of Intelligence, has also cleared for a DG-level position at the Centre.
Similarly, Yashwant Jethwa, a 1994-batch IPS officer and current Director of Vigilance, has also been empanelled to hold a DG-rank post in the Union Government.
This elevation marks an important milestone for the officers and strengthens Odisha’s representation in senior police leadership roles at the central level.
The elevation of Koche and Jethwa to DG rank will enable them to take on more strategic responsibilities in law enforcement and public administration in the Union Government.
