Bargarh, Dec 31: At least two persons were crushed to death under a speeding truck in Bargarh Manirchathar Street in Odisha’s Bargarh district early this morning.
The identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained.
As per reports, the duo was travelling on a bike when a speeding truck hit them. As a result, they fell down and the truck ran over them leading to their deaths on the spot.
On the other hand, the truck driver abandoned his vehicle and fled the spot following the mishap.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and seized the bodies. Subsequently, they were sent for post-mortem.
An investigation has been initiated into the mishap and efforts are on trace the truck drive, said the police.
