Two arrested in Bhubaneswar for selling spurious tobacco

Bhubaneswar, Oct 13: Capital Police on Friday arrested two persons for selling spurious tobacco in Unit I market. 

The accused have been identified as Krushna Chandra Roul (32) and Basudev Mandal (30). Police has seized huge cache of spurious tobacco products from the accused.

Police said that Kailash Singh Chauhan, Managing Director of Gopal Imperial Private Limited appeared at the police station on Thursday and filed a written complaint that some traders in Unit I market were selling spurious tobacco in the brand name of his company.

“During investigation a police team raided the place and seized the duplicate tobacco items and arrested both the accused,” said a police official.
