Alipsa Biswal leads 16-member squad for upcoming T20 Trophy

The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has officially unveiled the roster for the state's contingent set to compete in the upcoming BCCI Women's U-23 T20 Trophy for the 2025-26 domestic season. The announcement was made on Wednesday following a press meeting attended by key association officials and coaching staff.

Leadership and Squad Composition

The selection committee has named Alipsa Biswal as the Captain to lead the 16-member squad. Supporting her as Vice-Captain is Tanmayae Behera. The team composition includes two designated wicket-keepers, Dibya Routray and Tannwi Ranjana, ensuring depth behind the stumps.

The selection process was overseen by Ms. Sasmita Pattnaik, Chairperson of the Odisha Women's Selection Committee, alongside the team's Head Coach, Ms. Swagatika Rath. The announced squad will represent Odisha in the first three matches of the tournament.

In addition to the main squad, the OCA has named four standby players: Joyce Nayak, Pani K Prasad, Suryasnata Swain, and Sonalisa Swain.

Tournament Schedule and Venues

The team travels to Trivandrum, Kerala, where the matches are scheduled to take place at the KCA Cricket Ground (Mangalapuram) and St. Xavier's KCA Cricket Ground. The campaign kicks off on November 24 against Sikkim.

OCA Secretary Mr. Sanjay Behera requested media cooperation in disseminating the announcement to cricket fans across the state. The team is hopeful for a strong performance in the southern state as they aim for the trophy this season.
