Bhubaneswar, Sept 19: The Ganesh Puja celebration was marred by a tragic incident as a youth from Bhubaneswar went missing after drowning in the Kuakhai River during immersion of Lord Vishwakarma idol.
Though the identity of the youth has not been ascertained yet, preliminary investigation revealed that he was a resident of Shantipalli Basti in Shahid Nagar of Bhubaneswar.
However, some locals soon rushed to the spot after noticing the youth drowning and tried to rescue him.
Unfortunately, the locals weren't able to rescue the youth.
A team of firefighters is carrying out a search operation to trace the missing youth.
