Tragic road accidents in Odisha claim four lives, including two minors

Keonjhar, Oct 4: At least four people, including a 12-year-old boy, lost their lives in two separate road accidents in Odisha on Friday, while another minor boy sustained critical injuries.

In the first incident, a 12-year-old boy was killed after being struck by a speeding car in Keonjhar district. The tragic accident occurred near Belda village on National Highway 49. The two brothers were crossing the road when the car hit them. The younger boy died instantly, while his 14-year-old sibling was critically injured. The deceased was identified as Badal Munda, while the injured boy is named Daktar Munda.

In a second accident, three young men lost their lives in a bike crash in the Daringbadi area of Kandhamal district. According to the police, the bike rider lost control and collided with a tree near Duluri forest under Daringbadi police station jurisdiction. All three were killed instantly.

The identities of the three deceased youths have not yet been confirmed. Local authorities from the Daringbadi Fire Brigade arrived at the scene after being alerted by a source. The bodies have been sent to the Daringbadi Community Health Centre for further examination.
