Bhadrak, Feb 3: The Bhadrak District Police have issued an advisory warning social media users against posting objectionable content online. The police cautioned that strict legal action will be taken against those who share offensive videos, audio clips, or comments that could disturb communal harmony.

According to the advisory, the district police are closely monitoring social media platforms. Anyone found violating the guidelines will face action as per the law. The police have urged citizens to refrain from spreading content that may hurt social sentiments.

Members of the public have been asked to report any such objectionable posts to the district police. For this purpose, a dedicated phone number—8480693791—has been provided. Citizens can share post links, screenshots, or comments with the police. The identity of informants will be kept confidential.

The move has been welcomed by various sections of society. Over the past few days, a surge in provocative social media activity was reported in Bhadrak district, prompting close surveillance by intelligence agencies.

The police stated that this step has been taken to maintain peace, brotherhood, and communal harmony, and has already put mischief-makers on alert.
