Delhi, May 15: With the duality of Turkiye during the Operation Sindoor by assisting the Pakistan Army with essential war-logistics,aviation watchdog the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) on Thursday invalidated the contracts of Celebi, a Turkish Firm engaged in ground clearance jobs in Indian airports.
The BCAC revoked the security clearance for Turkish ground handling company Celebi Airport Services India Pvt Ltd in the "interest of national security, said sources.
The decision came days after Turkiye backed Islamabad and condemned India's recent strikes on terror camps in Pakistan.
The Celebi Airport Services India, is a part of Turkiye-based Celebi. The company offers services at nine airports including Mumbai, Delhi, Cochin, Kannur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Goa (GOX), Ahmedabad and Chennai.
"The security clearance in r/o Celebi Airport Services India Pvt Ltd is hereby revoked with immediate effect in the interest of national security," the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) said in an order.
Worth mentioning, Turkiye and Azerbaijan backed Pakistan and condemned India's recent strikes on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) under the Operation Sindoor.
Pakistan was backed with Turkish drones on a large scale in the conflict.
