According to sources, over 750 cusecs of water is released through the gates amid heavy rains triggered by the Cyclone Montha.

Worth mentioning, the Veligallu project has a gross storage capacity of 4.64 Tmcft of water in its reservoir. However, the dam’s capacity neared the alarming mark today due to the incessant spell of rain that needed to exit the surplus inputs.
