Bhubaneswar, August 26: The Odisha State Physiotherapist League was inaugurated in Bhubaneswar on August 26, just ahead of World Physiotherapy Day on September 8.
Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das formally inaugurated the event at the Power Shuttler Badminton Academy.
In her speech, Mayor Das emphasized the crucial role physiotherapists play in the healthcare system in Odisha.
The league saw active participation from physiotherapy professionals and students across the state.
The event was well-organized by the committee members of the Odisha State Physiotherapy Conference, including Dr. Soumendra Panda, Dr. Deepak Samantray, Dr. Biswajeet Sahoo, Dr. Bibhutibhusan Jena, Dr. P. Bala Kishore, Dr. Tapash Mitra, Dr. Satyabrata Mohanty, Dr. Abhishek Abhinandan, Dr. Smruti Ranjan, and Dr. Jagatananda Dash.
The event also featured a badminton tournament, contributing to celebrating the profession and fostering camaraderie among physiotherapists in the region.
