Chhatrapur, Oct 17: Upholding their rich cultural heritage, women from the Telugu community in Chhatrapur recently observed the traditional Kumkum Puja during the auspicious occasion of Navratra.

Organized over two days at the Kalyan Mandapam premises of the Maa Ramayanama Thakurani Temple, the ritual is believed to invoke divine blessings for the longevity of husbands, family well-being, and societal prosperity.

More than 200 women from the local Telugu community gathered in a vibrant display of devotion and unity to perform the sacred vows. The temple administration made comprehensive arrangements to facilitate the large gathering, ensuring a smooth and spiritually uplifting experience for all participants.

The religious rituals were meticulously conducted by Vedic priest and purohit Jallepalli Harigopala Shastri. Key organizers, including Temple Committee President S. Rama Mohan Rao, Secretary B. Srinivasa Rao, and members of the Telugu Mahila Mandali, remained present to oversee and manage the event.

Bathed in deep devotion, the temple premises resonated with divine fervor as hundreds of women came together in traditional solidarity to seek the blessings of the Goddess.
