Technology & trust can strengthen public relation: Ajit Pathak

Bhubaneswar, July 17: The evolving of technology has significantly impacted the field of public relations, as highlighted by Dr. Ajit Pathak during the second Jana Sampark Samman conference organised by Prameya and News-7 in Bhubaneswar.

Dr Pathak said mobile devices, social media, and the internet have replaced traditional media outlets.

Artificial intelligence (AI), video graphics, and reels are crucial in shaping news content.

Dr. Pathak emphasized the utility and significance of technology in the field of public relations.

AI, in particular, is gaining prominence for its ability to enhance communication, analyze data, and streamline PR processes.

Dr. Ajit Pathak’s insights underscore the symbiotic relationship between technology, trust, and effective public relations. As the landscape continues to evolve, practitioners must adapt and leverage technological advancements while maintaining authentic human connections. 

Sarvesh Kumar, chief of corporate communication, Tata Steel,  a guest at the conference, highlighted the importance of human relationships in PR.

While technology is valuable, building and maintaining genuine connections with stakeholders remain essential.

On World Public Relations Day, Saswati Das, Director of Summa Real Media and vice-president of SOA University inaugurated the function and stressed the principle of “giving back to society.”

This ethos aligns with SOA University’s commitment to community welfare and corporate social responsibility.

The conference honored 35 prominent public relations officers from both government and corporate sectors.

Sunil Das (CEO of Prameay and News-7), Himansu Hota (Director of Sales and Marketing at Prameya and News-7), and Dheren Mishra (News Editor, Prameya) also shared their views at the function.
