​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Dec 25: Odisha is almost set to explore at least 1.58 ton of  gold metal treasured in state’s three potential mines.

Sheding light on production of the yellow metal, Odisha Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena underlined that there are 3 potential gold reserves in Odisha.

The identified gold mines are located in Deogarh, Keonjhar, and Gajipur area, Jena informed.

If meticulously explored, the three mines will fetch at least 1.586 tons of the yellow metal, Jena added.

On the timeline of mining the yellow metal, the Minister stated that a high-level meeting is scheduled on January 3 wherein a comprehensive modality regarding auction will be finalized, the minister said.

Apart from gold, Odisha will work out on production of other precious metals and minerals including graphite, copper, nickel, silver, titanium, vanadium, tin and Rare Earth Elements (REE) from the identified mines, Jena further said.
