Keonjhar, Jul 21: Devotees across Odisha are observing Tarini Brata today, a sacred Tuesday that falls between Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra and Bahuda Yatra. The occasion is marked with special rituals and grand celebrations at the revered Maa Tarini Temple.

The day began in the Brahma Muhurta, with temple servitors performing traditional rituals, including Maha Snana (holy bath), Majana, Dhupa, Deepa, Aguru, Chandan offerings, and the Shodasha Upachara worship in accordance with long-standing temple traditions.

Following the completion of the rituals, the presiding deity was adorned in an elaborate Suna Besha (Golden Attire), after which the temple doors were opened for public darshan.

A large number of devotees thronged the temple from the early hours of the morning to seek the blessings of Maa Tarini and witness the deity's resplendent golden appearance.

To ensure smooth and orderly darshan, the temple administration has made extensive arrangements, including crowd management and security measures, allowing devotees to offer prayers in a disciplined manner.
