Chennai, September 5:Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Saturday extended Teachers’ Day greetings and praised educators for their vital role in shaping students and contributing to social progress.
In his message, Vijay said teachers went beyond classroom education by nurturing young minds, instilling values and preparing students to become responsible citizens.
Recalling the contribution of former President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is observed as Teachers’ Day in India, the Chief Minister paid tribute to educators across Tamil Nadu.
Vijay said teachers help students develop discipline, humanity, fraternity and social responsibility while also identifying their talents, encouraging their ambitions and guiding them towards successful lives.
He emphasised that the influence of teachers extends beyond individual students, contributing to the development of a skilled, responsible and socially conscious society.
The Chief Minister expressed appreciation for teachers’ dedication and said their guidance could play a decisive role in shaping students’ futures and helping them realise their full potential.
