Kishorenagar, August 23: A symphony of perseverance, disciplined life & self-confidence craft someone clinch extraordinary success, opined guests and educationists on Friday.
Gracing the ‘Welcome Ceremony, dedicated to the +3 1st year students on behalf of the 2nd year & final year boys and girls in Kishorenagar Degree College in the Angul district, the panel of guests underlined the aims and objectives of education and endeavored to instill values of education within the ignited minds.
In a formal session convened by Principal of the institute Akshaya Kumar Dash, Senior faculty in Physics, Bhimabhoi College Prof. Arun Kumar Sasani joined here as Chief Guest and Faculty in Chemistry, Adarsha Degree College, Boudh Prof. Dr. Prabhudutta Hota joined on the occasion as Chief Speaker.
Similarly, HoD Philosophy Department Ramachandra Bhoi and, Lecturer Jayakrishna Pradhan, Binapani Sahu and Taranisen Sahu attended the session as guests of honour.
Faculty member Jayakrishna Pradhan moderated the program whereas Debendra Pande, Prayojita Pradhan and Suprava Pradhan managed the prize giving session.
In the beginning, Lipsa Pradhan, Kajol Pradhan, Lopamudra Pradhan and Barsha Pradhan welcomed the esteemed guests and newcomers amid chants of Vedic verses and electrifying chorus.
Following the welcome session, the prize giving session was performed wherein Priyabrata Pradhan, a scholar in History, Babli Barik, a scholar in Philosophy were felicitated with certificates, cash prize and mementos. Priyabrata was awarded the Ashish Memorial Scholarship, contributed by the deceased’s family whereas Bobli was awarded on behalf of the College on merit.
Later, the program was wrapped up with a cultural program, staged by the students that enthralled the audience for hours.
