Puri, Jul 8: The revered Rath Yatra, an annual procession, commenced this year on June 27, culminating on the auspicious day of Niladri Bije, which holds immense spiritual significance. This day marks the return of the gods to the Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri. It is believed that on this occasion, Lord Jagannath offers Rasagola to Goddess Lakshmi as a gesture of welcome.
During Niladri Bije, the three deities-Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra make their return to the Ratna Bedi. A key ritual of the day involves Lord Jagannath offering Rasagola to Goddess Lakshmi as part of the process of entering the temple. This custom has made both Niladri Bije and Rasagola Dibasa deeply significant for devotees. The celebration takes place on Ashadha Traydashi, the 13th day of the lunar month of Ashadha.
Jai Jagannath….🙏
