Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ace cueists Subrat Das will cross swords with Ashutosh Padhy in the final of the 3rd Priyabrata Patnaik Memorial 10Red Snooker Championship-2025 here on Friday.
In the 1st SF Ashutosh started very well and won the 1st 3 consecutive Frames to make a Lead of 3-0. Jagdish came back strongly to make the score 3-2. But Ashutosh didn't allow Jagdish for a maiden entry berth to a Snooker Final. Ashutosh finished 4-2.
The 2nd semifinal between Subrat Das against Rakesh R Pradhan was the ultimate nail-biting clash. In the very high voltage match Dr. Rakesh got a flying start and dominated Subrat to make his lead of 3-0. Rakesh was just a Frame away for his final spot, but highly magical with utmost pressure handling abilities of Subrat didn't permit Rakesh to move a single inch after 3-0 down. Subrat played one of his best matches and won all the four consecutive Frames securing his berth for the final.
Semifinals results: Ashutosh Padhy beat (4-2) Jagdish Mohanty and Subrat Das beat (4-3) Dr. Rakesh R Pradhan.
