Subhadra funds credited to over 1.23 lakh beneficiaries; Rs62 crore disbursed

In a major relief for beneficiaries, the pending financial assistance under the Subhadra scheme has been credited to bank accounts. As many as 1,23,849 beneficiaries, who were earlier left out of the first, second, and third instalments, have now received the funds.

Bhubaneswar, May 4: In a major relief for beneficiaries, the pending financial assistance under the Subhadra scheme has been credited to bank accounts. As many as 1,23,849 beneficiaries, who were earlier left out of the first, second, and third instalments, have now received the funds.

Informing about the development, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said that nearly ₹62 crore was transferred to beneficiaries’ accounts on Monday.

She further stated that some cases are still pending due to ongoing field verification, with around one lakh verifications currently underway. Meanwhile, the government has received approximately 3.26 lakh new applications under the scheme.

The tenure of two staff members at the Subhadra help desk has been extended till 2027 to streamline the process. The government reiterated its commitment to ensure that all eligible women receive the financial assistance, adding that the disbursement process will continue.

Calling it a significant day, Parida noted that the pending Subhadra funds have now been successfully transferred to women beneficiaries across the state.
