Bhubaneswar, Aug 31: Over a dozen former Congress leaders are all set to rejoin the party in the first week of September, including two former MPs and some MLAs.
Besides, an internationally acclaimed sports person and few retired government officials are scheduled to join the party in the presence of AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge.
Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Sarat Pattanayak is on Delhi visit to discuss with national leaders in this regard.

Former chief minister of Odisha Giridhar Gamang, his wife and former MP Hema Gamang, ex- Koraput MP Jayaram Pangi, former Koraput MLA Krushnachandra Sagaria, former indian hockey team captain Prabodh Tirkey are all set to join Congress, said a party leader.
The willing leaders will visit national leaders in Delhi after Sarat Pattanayak's return to the state fixing the joining date, which is said to be September 5.
Besides, the state leaders are in talks with national leadership to lift suspension of Chiranjib Biswal and Barabati-Cuttack MLA Mohammed Moquim.
