Bhubaneswar, July 31: A state-level sensitization-cum-capacity building training on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 was conducted today at the State Institute for Women and Children here.
The training was inaugurated by the Additional Secretary of the Women Empowerment and Advocacy Section, who emphasized the need for safe and inclusive workplaces supported by effective institutional mechanisms. The purpose of the training was to equip master trainers so that they can ensure all Internal Committee (IC) members in their respective districts are adequately trained on the PoSH Act for effective implementation.
Participants included Sub-Collectors, Deputy Collectors, Project Officers, and LC or IC members representing all districts of Odisha in the day-long interactive programme.
Anuja Gulati, Programme Management Specialist at UNFPA, along with state master trainers, facilitated engaging sessions on the PoSH Act and addressed various participant queries through open discussions.
The training concluded with a structured feedback round and an official vote of thanks, reinforcing the collective commitment to strengthening workplace safety across the state.
