Bijapur, December 3: At least seven Maoists were killed in an exchange of fire during an ongoing anti-Naxal operation along the Bijapur-Dantewada border in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region. The operation, led by teams from the District Reserve Guard (DRG), STF, CRPF, and CoBRA, began around 9:00 AM with intermittent firing.

The bodies of the seven Maoists, along with arms and ammunition, were recovered from the site. Three DRG personnel, including Head Constable Monu Vadadi and Constable Dukaru Gonde, were killed, and two others, including Somdev Yadav, were injured. Yadav's condition is stable, and medical treatment has been arranged.

Meanwhile, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has completed a year-long expansion into the dense Abujhmad region, sealing a major Naxal movement corridor. On November 28, the Lanka Company Operating Base (COB) was established near the Maharashtra border, disrupting vital Naxal supply routes in the region.
