Cuttack, Aug 28: Manglabag Police have arrested a Data Entry Operator (DEO) working in the office of the Superintendent of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack in connection with an alleged financial irregularity of around ₹1.40 crore.

The accused has been identified as Dinesh Rout. The alleged financial irregularity came to light during an AG audit at SCB Medical College and Hospital. Dinesh Rout was reportedly accused of being involved in the alleged misappropriation of the funds.

Following the discovery, the SCB Superintendent lodged a complaint at Manglabag Police Station on August 26. Acting on the complaint, police began an investigation and subsequently arrested the accused DEO.

Police are continuing their investigation to determine the full extent of the alleged financial irregularities and whether others were involved
