Bhubaneswar, February 7: The 24th National Level Handloom Expo kicked off in Bhubaneswar, inaugurated by Pradeep Bal Samanta, Odisha’s Minister for Co-operation and Handlooms. Organized by the Odisha State Handloom Weavers’ Cooperative Society (Boyanika), the Expo will run at the Unit-III IDCO Exhibition Ground until February 22, 2026.

The event provides a platform for weavers from Odisha and across India to showcase and sell their handloom products. Sponsored by the Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department, Odisha, it features 80 stalls, with 50 primary weavers' cooperatives from Odisha and 20 participants from other states.

Notable organizations like Boyanika, Utkalika, and Sambalpuri Bastralaya are part of the exhibition.

The Expo, open daily from 11:00 A.M. to 9:30 P.M., will also highlight a theme pavilion inspired by the Dhauli Peace Pagoda. The expected business turnover is around Rs. 10 crore. Visitors can explore a variety of handwoven textiles, including Odisha’s famous Ikat weaving.
