Bhubaneswar: Sarthak Arya, representing Odisha, delivered an outstanding performance at the prestigious UTT 87th Interstate Junior & Youth National Championship held in Dehradun, showcasing remarkable skill, determination, and consistency across multiple categories.

Competing in the Team Event, U19 Boys Singles, U17 Boys Singles, U19 Doubles, and U17 Doubles, Sarthak emerged as one of the standout performers from the state.

His most notable achievement came in the U17 Boys Singles, where he secured the silver medal, finishing runner-up after a closely contested final. On his way to the final, he registered impressive victories over strong opponents, including Dhananjay Thakur in the semifinal and Ronald Sarkar in the quarterfinal.

In the U19 Boys Singles category, Sarthak advanced to the quarterfinals, ultimately finishing among the Top 8 players in the country, which will earn him a strong national ranking for the upcoming season.

Additionally, in the U17 Boys Doubles event, partnering with Jigyanshu Sahoo, he reached the quarter final stage, further highlighting his versatility across formats.

This commendable performance reflects Sarthak’s growing stature in Indian table tennis and brings pride to Odisha through his achievements at the national level.
