Mumbai, Oct 15: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been upgraded to Y+ security, following the murder of senior politician Baba Siddique on October 12.
The move comes after growing concerns about the actor’s safety. Siddique was close to Salman Khan, who has been under the scanner of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which is suspected to be behind Siddique’s assassination.
As per reports, the security entourage will include police escort cars. Salman will also be accompanied by a constable, who has been trained to use all weapons.
Meanwhile, the security at Salman Khan's house has also been beefed up.
Notably, Salman Khan and Baba Siddique had been close friends for over two decades. After the murder and threat by the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Salman Khan had arrived at Siddique's residence to stand in solidarity with the grieving family.
