Bhubaneswar, April 1: The Sahitya Akademi has announced the recipients of its prestigious Fellowship, the highest literary honour conferred by the Akademi.

According to a decision taken at the General Council meeting, noted Odia writer Dr. Pratibha Ray, eminent Sindhi litterateur Laxmi Khilani, and renowned Urdu author Abdus Samad will be conferred with the Fellowship.

The award will be presented at a special ceremony to be organised by the Akademi. The date of the event will be announced in due course, Secretary Pallavi Prashant Holkar said in a press release.
