Bhubaneswar, Oct 29: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Odisha on Wednesday extended the deadline for form fill-up of ex-regular candidates appearing for the Annual Higher Secondary Examination 2026, owing to the difficulties caused by Cyclone Montha.

The Council issued a notification in this regard and announced that the last date for submission of application forms, fee payment through SBI Collect has been extended until November 3, 2025. Earlier, the last date for submission of application forms was October 28, 2025.

It is worth noting that several higher secondary schools across Odisha had urged the CHSE to extend the form fill-up date as they were facing difficulties caused by Cyclone Montha.

The official notification also stated that “All other dates notified earlier regarding form fill-up and enrollment with fines of ₹200 and ₹600 remain unchanged.”

The deadline extension will benefit the students of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams, including those enrolled in the correspondence course.

Notably, the CHSE has scheduled the Annual Higher Secondary Examination 2026 between February 15 and 25. The admit cars will be available by December 15 and internal assessments will be held from December 22 to 31.

Students who are unable to appear for internal exams during this period will get another opportunity between January 10 and 15. The practical examinations have been scheduled from January 2 to 15.
