RPF personnel of ECoR receive Covid-19 vaccine shots

Bhubaneswar, Feb 19: As many as 286 Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel working under the East Coast Railway (ECoR) have been administered Covid-19 vaccine at Railway Central Hospital at Bhubaneswar. The vaccination drive was conducted on Thursday and Friday. Earlier, Covid-19 vaccines had been administered to the railway health workers including doctors, paramedical staff and other medical staff of ECoR Central Hospital at Bhubaneswar. A total of 138 health workers in ECoR Central Hospital has received second dose of Covid-19 vaccine after a gap of 28 days, i.e. on February 17. Altogether, 238 health workers in ECoR Central received the first phase of Covid-19 vaccine from January 18.Acutely unwell and intensive care unit patients and pregnant and lactating women are not being administered with the vaccination as per guidelines. ECoR General Manager Vidya Bhushan has instructed railway medical authorities to take adequate precautions and care for administering vaccines as directed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
